At the heart of the programme was a 6-metre-long woven artwork combining a World War II narrative and a Yoruba creation story. Featuring Birmingham WWII veteran Prince Albert Jacob, the piece aimed to elevate Black British history and contribute to a more inclusive national narrative.
Tapestry of Black Britons (ToBB) was proud to be part of the Legacy Centre of Excellence programme launching Black History Month on Saturday 27 September 2025. The event featured a dynamic, free programme of activities designed to engage diverse audiences and celebrate Black British heritage.
