Purbanat CIC successfully delivered the Birmingham Multicultural Festival 2026, celebrating  International Mother Language Day through a programme of 20 rehearsal sessions and a final  showcase event attended by 160 people. The project engaged 4 lead artists, 60 community  artists, 12 volunteers, and represented 8 cultural communities. The festival promoted social  cohesion, cultural awareness, and skills development, while creating new partnerships and  opportunities for collaboration. Despite challenges, the project demonstrated strong  community engagement and resilience, and continues to build a lasting legacy of multicultural  arts participation in Birmingham.
